General Consulting
If you want some input during a project scoping session, feedback on some data you collected, or recommendations on how to answer an environmental or wildlife question, I’m happy to meet with you or talk to you on the phone or via email. I can also review and provide feedback on management or study plans.
Field Surveys
A am proficient in field surveys for birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and odonates. I also have some experience setting up various types of insect traps and searching for land snails and slugs.
Field Techniques Training
I have experience in a wide variety of field methods (learn more), and taught field methods for fish and wildlife sampling at Umpqua Community College for two years. I enjoy passing on what I have learned over many years. Let’s do it!
Literature Reviews and Conservation Assessments
I am familiar with and proficient in finding and reviewing relevant literature on any environmental topic. My experience with several government agencies, non-profits, and many citizen scientists also gives me broad context to understand issues and to find unpublished data. I am also able to synthesize data and appropriately cite information sources for easy follow-up.

All the photos and videos on this website are mine. If you need some photos or video of Pacific Northwest plants, animals, or habitat, I may have them, or I can get what you need (see my photo page). I am also able to make flyers, brochures, pamphlets and similar items that are useful in education and training.
